About Dr. Stephanie Smith

Sacred Paws's Mission

The mission at Sacred Paws is to help restore harmony in heart and health by empowering, educating, and supporting pet parents, to reclaim their innate wisdom of caring for their fur babies.  Cultivating a path of joy, peace, longevity, vitality, and coherence (harmony) is a mind, body, and soul experience.  Through a full spectrum approach using energetic and naturopathic assessments, fur families will benefit from highly individualized support working toward restoration of their companion’s natural state.

Sacred Paws believes true health begins with simplification, aligning with nature’s intelligence, making obtainable life style changes at one’s individual pace, tending to space held, nurturing an enriching environment (internal & external terrain), and much more.

My Story...

I remember the day I found out that my best friend Riley had a larger than softball sized tumor on her spleen. I was first met with complete and total denial. I thought, “okay, we will figure this out”, take the steps we need, and move onward in our long and happy lives.  The veterinarian’s reaction to the X-ray imagery, still to this day, is imprinted in my mind.  I made us a bucket list of experiences to have while I researched our next steps, and within three days, I had to say goodbye to my best friend.

The catastrophic grief hit me like a semi-truck.  I was so angry, betrayed, lost, and confused.  It was one of those moments in time, looking back, that profoundly catapulted my life. It served me up a mega dose of reality, and the fact that I was living in it blindly.  I was already on a journey of self evaluation, but this event propelled me insurmountably deeper into my healing journey.  So, much had to unravel, …so much could no longer go unseen and unaddressed with myself and my fur family.

A large part of my trudging through, …to sort out my confusion and heartache, was to continue working with energy healers, trauma practitioners, animal communicators, shamanic practitioners, mediums, psychics, herbalists, wisdom keepers, and other natural health healers.   The hole I had to dig myself out of was far deeper than I was conscious of and much work had to be done. My life took a full 180 (many times over), and I was now in the throws of a deeper dark night of the soul; digging more deeply, researching more exponentially, burning away all that was no longer me or meant to come with me.  I had no idea then, that the path I needed to heal, was going to be the one in which I helped support others on their healing paths.

I am humbly honored and in absolute gratitude to say, that every single moment of this journey has led me here! Uniting all of my history, education, knowledge and experience to date to help restore harmony in pet’s heart and health (as well as their pet parent’s) and connecting crossed over animals with their pet parents, is such a gift and it is indeed my life mission.

Thank you for showing up for your fur kids and doing everything in your power to care for them to the fullest!

This one is for your Riley!

With love,
